Happy Birthday, Sagittarius! The universe must love you this month, Sagittarius, because just about every planet in the sky will be coming to your birthday party. The sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto will all spend some time in your sign, and there'll be a new moon, too. That's six dang planets in one sign during a single solar month, and believe me, in planetary terms that's quite a crowd. This month isn't like last month, when five planets were all bunched up in Scorpio, squeezed in so tight none of them could find the exit. No, this month is a more Sagittarian kind of party, where planets drift in and out of your sign, as the festive mood takes them. So what does this mean to you personally? Well, it means that Thanksgiving in the US marks something like the beginning of your new year. Jupiter enters your sign then, ready to spend an entire year there. The force is with you. The key concepts would be "get things started," and "nurture along what you've already begun." Generate and fertilize goals and happy things. All kinds of goals and happy things. Fun and frivolous things like makeovers (Venus in your sign until the 11th of December). Romantic and sexy things like relationships (ditto). Things that express your unique personality (sun in your sign). Things that require drive, effort, and determination (Mars in your sign from the 5th on). Clarifying your priorities and top wishes for the year (Mercury in your sign from the 8th on). Goals and projects that would feed your ego (Jupiter in your sign). Whatever the heck you want. It's your party and you can do what you want to. By the way, if you need to make a presentation or otherwise put yourself in front of people, a good time to do it astrologically is the window between December 20 and Christmas, just after the new moon in your sign. I should also mention that this is both a month of new beginnings and a push toward culmination. In about a year, Jupiter will conjoin Pluto in one last gasp of major Sagittarian energy. After that, Jupiter and Pluto will move on to Capricorn, wrapping up a Sagittarian cycle that has lasted almost a generation (well, actually Pluto will retrograde a bit before settling into Capricorn for good, but that's details and neither of us care about that right now, do we?). The point is, as a Sagittarian in these particular times, you've been asked to transform yourself and accept more personal power than the average Sagittarian. You've been asked to consider your place in the wider world. Think back to where and who you were in 1995, because in 2007, you are being asked to largely complete a journey that you began then. Step into your power, because the world will need you from 2008 on. Okay, enough about that Plutonian stuff, let's talk a bit about Sagittarian purpose. One of the things that comes to mind for me is the notion of curiosity. The sign of Sagittarius is said to have one of the most abundant reservoirs of curiosity of any of the signs, and I think that's highlighted for you for the coming twelve months. Jupiter in your sign gives full reign to your curiosity and softens any of the 'curiosity killed the cat' elements that can occasionally bedevil a naturally adventurous sign. It's as though you have permission to just explore the heck out of yourself, your own life, your desires, and everyone else's life, too. You can float a gazillion trial balloons and Jupiter will see that at least one of them does whatever a trial balloon is supposed to do. You have permission to engage in an abundance of tries--without disappointment or uptightness or the feeling that what you do just has to work. You can play. You can be curious and investigate anything you've wanted to investigate. From my perspective, it hardly needs to be said that curiosity is one of the most valuable assets of the human race, and as a native of the officially designated curious sign, you have an important role to play. Humanity doesn't progress without learning and knowledge and investigating and playing and wondering and fooling around and trying new things. So give full regin to your natural instincts and be curious this year. I don't know that this will lead you to discover a new cure for cancer or the greatest thing in office supplies since the Post-It Note, but it's bound to pay off for you and the rest of us somehow. So go for it, and share your neat-o discoveries with the rest of us. For some additional keywords you can use to customize your own horoscope - click here. The planets want you to think about your future this month, Aries, and boy do they ever. Six planets will visit your 9th house of, among other things, thinking about the future, and there'll be a new moon there, too. For some of you it's pretty obvious why the planets want you to think about your future. There have been restructuring type things going on in your workplace (thanks to eclipses), and you have to think about your future. For others, it's more of a vague stirring in the psyche. Regardless of the motivation, this holiday month is the month to brainstorm regarding your future for the next 12 or 13 months. Since Mercury will still be in Scorpio until the 8th of December, you can kick off the process by doing a little life review, assessing where you stand, and gathering any info you need to make plans. Once you're ready to plot your course, it's to your advantage to think big. Jupiter in Sagittarius is a big planet in a big sign, and it's set to stay there from Thanksgiving until the end of 2007. So the universe is supporting you in some bold plans. Saturn in Leo will help make you realistic. In fact, for the next 10 months you'll be the beneficiary a nice relationship between Saturn and Jupiter, both in fire signs like yours. Saturn in Leo could conceivably have caused you some love life problems, problems with your children, or a creative dry spell. But with Jupiter in Sagittarius, all those problems can be softened and eased. Problems can be solved with a salutary combination of realism and optimism. In other words, Jupiter's move into Sagittarius is good news for you. Finally, besides planning for your future, you can use this month's abundance of Sagittarian energy for travel (the further you go the better), investigating some form of higher education or training, or furthering international ventures or relationships. Taurus, this is an interesting and unusual month in that 6 planets will visit your solar 8th house. The 8th house has so many different meanings, it's hard to predict how this abundance of energy will affect you. The holiday season could cause you to spend a lot of time thinking about your past, your family, your roots, and how your life has turned out (the 8th house is the house that deals with one's past). That's pretty normal, and happens for a lot of Taureans every year as the sun transits Sagittarius. On the other hand, the planets in Sag could be working at a deeper level, encouraging you to embrace a rebirth of sorts, to think about how you could live your life more vividly, more richly (the 8th is a house of rebirth). They could just offer you a refreshing, regenerating break from previous tensions, perhaps through the vehicle of sex and romance (the 8th house is the house of sex and your sexy ruler Venus will transit it until the 11th of December). Mars in Sag from the 8th on could give you the energy to transform some area of your life. Lots of possibilities. A longer-term trend is heralded by the entry of Jupiter in Sagittarius on Thanksgiving Day. Jupiter in the 8th is traditionally a good time for joint financial matters, and if your spouse has been having trouble bringing in income, the coming twelve months could see a definite upswing. In fact, virtually all forms of money outside of salary and wages look to benefit from this trend for a full year, perhaps quite handsomely. If you need a windfall, make a wish on the new moon (which occurs on December 20). It's just possible that you could get a surprisingly nice Christmas gift that could ease your financial woes, if you have any. All in all, a good month, so enjoy. So Gemini, everybody and their uncle is visiting your solar 7th house this month, at least in planetary terms. The sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto will all stop by, and Jupiter and Pluto will hang out there until the end of 2007. With this kind of energy, anything is possible. It's a bold and bright collection of vibrational potentials. Which means... You could pop the question or get a romantic proposal. You could strike up a business partnership or at least think about it. You could settle an argument, heal a relationship, seal a deal, or solve an interpersonal problem (thanks to Venus). Or you could do the opposite, and find yourself in the midst of a potentially unexpected argument or conflict (thanks to Mars). Or you could do both. You could encounter enemies and critics, as well as friends, lovers, or partners who'll do anything for you. Or you could find just about everything happening at once. However you slice it, the planetary emphasis for Geminians is on other people this month. The good, the bad, the wonderful, the heartwarming, the ugly, the highs, the lows, the mood swings, the fun and frivolity of the holiday season, along with all the usual tensions. It's a go with the flow sort of month, and one to enjoy, knowing that any tensions that arise will be gone soon enough. Although the tensions won't last forever, the emphasis on other people won't--at least not in your solar chart. With Jupiter in your opposite sign, you'll have a year-long opportunity (until the end of 2007) to find out who your true friends and loved ones really are. You'll also have a chance to find out who's not such a good friend, as Jupiterian honesty and Sagittarian bluntness will flush everything out into the open. For those of you single Geminis looking for love, this could be one of your best years in a long time. Start dreaming now, and by the end of 2007 you could be in a whole different place. Well, Cancer, in comparison to the other signs, the universe has been giving you pretty much a free pass all year (unless your natal chart has been acting up). And now, just when the holiday season is upon us, they snatch that free pass right away from you. There's an abundance of planets passing through Sagittarius this month, but they all happen to be transiting your solar 6th house of work. As in, oodles and boodles of work, work, work. Not what I'd want to hear for the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but maybe you're fine with it. The good news is that the planets don't all enter Sagittarius at once, so you still have some sexy Scorpio energy left over as the month begins to spend on sex, love, and romance. Venus will be in Sagittarius until the 11th of December, but after that it enters your solar 7th house of relationships, so you have some decent aspects all month long. The other good news is a bit more long-term in focus. Jupiter enters Sag for a full year on Thanksgiving. The reason that's good news for you is that it will be in a favorable angle to Saturn by sign until September. Saturn's been in your solar second house, which normally isn't all that great for a person's income. Jupiter in your work sector eases that vibe up a bit and makes people at your workplace like you and think you're great. They become all that much more likely to give you a raise when Saturn leaves Leo, or maybe even a bit before. At least you can get some benefit out of all the work, work, work you're likely to be doing in 2007. During this month, by the way, it's a good time to get your routines down, flexible routines, but routines so that you can handle the potentially abundant workload over the coming year. You might give some thought as to how to make yourself more efficient as the usually madcap holiday season gains steam. Fortunately, with Venus and Jupiter both in this sector the vibe is likely to be pleasant, although Mars may cause some stress. As an added note, you might check into the possibility of getting an assistant, some helpers, or hiring new employees. Additional hands could be a big boon during the coming year. You might even consider splurging on some cleaning or household help this month, if you can afford it. In other words, things are likely to be busy, so don't be afraid to ask for assistance. Last but not least, the new moon on December 20 is a great time to make a new year's type healthy resolution to keep yourself in shape and full of energy for what could be a busy 2007. Wow, Leo, what a vital and vibrant month to end the year with. Six planets will transit Sagittarius during the month, all of them visiting your solar 5th house of good stuff. The 5th house is the house of talents, and no sign is more naturally talented than Leo. This the premier month of the entire year to use your talents, whatever they may be, from decorating to singing to ruling the world. Go for it. The month won't be completely stress free because Mars is joining all the other planets in Sagittarius, and Mars can be Mr. Grumpy Stress at times. But he's just one planet in the crowd so don't let that ruin an otherwise great month. In addition to using your talents, which I highly encourage you to do, you can also use the entire month to pursue or enjoy romance or a heightened love life. The aspects are pretty darn good, so you ought to at least consider it. In fact, fun in general is highlighted, particularly until the 11th of December, when Venus is in the sign. Don't count on the party stopping then, though, plan to live it up throughout the month. I should also mention that Thanksgiving inaugurates the year-long transit of Jupiter through Sagittarius. For those of you who want kids or have them, this is a great placement. You can conceive, or you can just enjoy those golden childhood moments. Saturn has probably been burdening you in some ways for awhile now, but Jupiter eases this up and makes it all worthwhile. The same general good feeling applies to your love life and to your creative pursuits. If you are a creative Leo (many are), a good time to launch a new project is just after the new moon on December 20. Start then, and you can be quite successful during the coming year with it. Holiday party at Virgo's house! That's what the planets are saying this month, and I hope you're glad to hear that because this is the month to entertain people in your home. This is not the month to worry about your job or your responsibilities or any of that work-y type stuff that Virgo often gets all wrapped up in. This is the month to focus on your home. You could think about decorating it in some fun way. You could think about how much you like it, or about what you could do to make yourself like it more. You could appreciate all the good things you've got in life, including family. Now I'll admit, Mars will be in your home sector from December 5 on and that could occasionally make you feel like this particular holiday season is all a bit too much and you need to let off some steam or yell at some people you live with. Uranus in your solar 7th house is a bit grumpy about being one of the few planets not invited to the party in Sagittarius, so plan to keep your cool at the beginning of the month and right before Christmas. But in general the vibe is good and pleasant. Just try your best to keep the normal holiday tensions from turning into unnecessary upheavals and all will be well. In fact, with Jupiter entering Sagittarius for a full year starting on Thanksgiving, the home related vibe is good for a long time to come. 2007 is a year to shore up your home base and to make yourself happy with where you are (and for some of you, to move to a place where you'll be even happier). It's an entire year of gracious home entertaining, in fact, if you choose to use it that way. 2007 will also be a good year to do some major home improvement projects. Watch your budget, as Jupiter may cause cost overruns (in my experience major home improvement projects always come with cost overruns), but it can also help you build or remodel the home of your dreams. It's time to be optimstic, and to revel in your roots. For keywords you can use to customize your horoscope - click here. For instructions on how to use the keywords - click here. |

From the Libra perspective, the skies are full of chatty Cathys this month, as six planets will visit your solar 3rd house of chatting and verbal interchange. With Mars in the sector from December 5 on, you can engage in some playfully jousting rounds of social interaction, maybe even light some sexy sparks. The sign of Libra is known for intelligence and even intellect, so as long as you don't get too competitive (maybe don't overdo it on the political debates), you can have a great time this month. It's also a good month for problem-solving in general, not heavy problems, just those daily logistical problems that Libra can be quite good at solving when it has a moment or two to focus on them. You'll have that moment or two, or perhaps you'll just need to solve them, as the month looks to be busy and you'll want to be organized. It's not a well-balanced month really (and Libra does like balance) with so many planets in one area of your chart and you may at times suffer from information overload. But since any information you get is likely to be pleasant, at least the month has a good vibe. On a longer-term note, Thanksgiving marks the entry of Jupiter into Sagittarius, where it will spend a year. This is a great transit for all types of learning and communicating both. Prepare to enjoy abundance in these areas. Sagittarian energy normally harmonizes well with your sign, and this bodes well for 2007. For keywords you can use to customize your horoscope - click here. As of Thanksgiving in the US, Jupiter has officially left the Scorpio building, but don't be singing the blues. Jupiter in Sagittarius can be veeerry beneficial for you, and this month kicks off the Sagittarian energy with a bang. Why can Jupiter in Sag be such a great thing for the Scorpios of the world? Because it gives you a chance to conquer the area of money, as in making it, as in increasing your income, and bringing the green stuff in. Believe me, you might as well take advantage of this energy while you got it (which you will until the end of 2007), as it can work quite well with your sign. You can start consciously making a push to increase your income starting this month. With Mercury still in your sign until the 8th of December, spend the first week of the month thinking about how to pare down your financial obligations, nuke 'em, dump 'em, get rid of them. The more you can clean out of your financial closet, the more room to stuff new good things in. You can also start thinking about what lovely stuff you'll want to buy for yourself with an increased financial status. Give yourself the lure of some potential rewards. The only thing to watch out for during this particular month is Mars in Sag from the 5th on. It could have you briefly overspending during the holiday season. Also make sure you don't lose or leave important possessions anywhere, and guard against theft. On a broader level, once you get through the potential overspending phase, part of what this financial energy is about is increasing your sense of security and abundance and even self-confidence. Sagittarius is a very confident sign; Jupiter is a very confident planet, and when you put the two together for a year, you have a chance to get in touch with a greater feeling of self-worth. Now that's a great thing, so if I were you, I'd be happy about this shift to Sagittarian energy. For keywords you can use to customize your horoscope - click here. Capricorn, this month signals the beginning of a new year-long cycle for you as Jupiter moves into Sagittarius in your solar 12th house. What kind of a cycle? Well, if all goes well, a cycle in which you feel inexplicably happy for no good reason. The 12th house works at a subconscious level and Jupiter is a happy planet--thus subconscious happiness and optimism. During this particular month, a whole bunch of other planets will visit Sagittarius as well, milling around in your subconscious. Mars will be there, perhaps making you feel unaccountably bombastic and bossy, but also perhaps making you a bit horny as it combines with Venus in your own sign from December 11 on. Nothing wrong with that. A few other things could happen with all these planets tromping through your subconscious mind. One is that from around the 8th on, you could be having some surprising dreams. If ever there was a moment to pay attention to them and mine them for insights, this would be the month. You could also try listening to your intuition in general, as it will probably be better than average. If you're not an intuitive type, use gut instinct instead. It's a similar thing, and your instincts should be on target. The other thing to note is that the 12th house is a silent, quiet house. You could feel like being very discreet and confidential for the time being. In fact, to be honest, all of 2007 is a good year to be discreet and confidential, to make plans but keep them secret until everything is in place for you to unveil them in 2008. You will retain your optimism better if you don't let prying eyes in on your big plans too soon (and hopefully you have some or will be generating some). To sum it all up, enjoy your dreams Capricorn, both the day and night time variety. For keywords you can use to customize your horoscope - click here. So Aquarius, this month is sort of like the beginning of a new year for you as Jupiter enters Sagittarius, where it will reside for 13 months in the house associated with your sign, the solar 11th. 2007 can, in fact, be a power year for you, perhaps a busy one in which you may want to clone yourself to get more done. Your first order of business this month, though, is to plan for the future. There are a whole lot of planets passing through Sagittarius this month urging you to do just that. While this is a good thing, your ruler Uranus will be squaring them by sign. Uranus, it appears, is maybe not that happy about not being invited to the Jupiter's welcoming party, and it's a bit ticked off with Jupiter for all of 2007. Hence the need for planning, to head off conflicts between Jupiterian and Uranian energy. So it goes something like this: revel in friendships this month--but don't let them interfere with your ability to earn your income. Enjoy relationships of all kinds--but don't let them cost you money. Hang out with a hip, new group--but don't try to keep up with the Joneses or indulge in an effort to acquire status symbols. Go out and have a blast throughout the holiday season, but see if you can make it pay off for you in a material sense (e.g., throw in a little networking, attend career-related holiday parties, etc.). Hopefully that gives you a sense of the energy. Something in your basically socially generous Aquarian nature is potentially a bit at odds with your logistical need for financial prudence. I don't want to make it sound like Jupiter in Sag is going to usher in a year of financial danger, though, because in fact it will probably do just the opposite. It may well increase your level of abundance. All I'm saying is that it may increase your feeling of abundance to the extent that you feel like biting off more than you can reasonably chew. So here's the solution this month. Step 1: sit down and sketch out maybe half a dozen or so goals or dreams you'd like to pursue in 2007. Figure out how you can realistically do this without stretching your resources too thin (e.g., maybe you want to start a business, consider cash flow). You don't have to do everything at once, just mull over a Plan A and a backup Plan B (e.g., climb Mt. Everest, but secure funding to do a documentary film on it first!). Not just financial resources, by the way, but physical and emotional and time resources as well. Just take stock a bit. Then, figure that throughout 2007, your way to make dreams happen without stretching yourself too thin will be to find and network with people who share similar interests. The more the merrier basically. Share the load, share the enthusiasm, share the dreams. I may not be making this clear enough, as I concentrate on the details here, but Jupiter in Sagittarius can bring you that much closer (quite a bit closer) to making long-held life dreams come true--as long as you don't kill yourself in the process. So dream big--and then get some help in making them come true. For keywords you can use to customize your horoscope - click here. For instructions on how to use the keywords - click here. |

Good news Pisces. Tons of planets will be visiting your solar 10th house of career this month, and they'll all be in good angle by sign to Saturn in your solar 6th house of work. Translation--if you've been working long and hard and diligently throughout 2006, it could pay off with a promotion or recognition or something good now. In other words, go for it, go for the brass ring this month. If a promotion doesn't seem in the offing, spend up through the first week of December considering how you could drop some effective hints that you'd like one. If some sort of recognition does come your way be appropriately gracious and charming about it. If you think some sort of recognition is about to come your way and it doesn't--use Mars in Sagittarius from December 5th on to determinedly figure out how can earn or merit some soon. In other words, this month is all about career. In fact, all of 2007 is about professional opportunities, as Saturn and Jupiter will be in good angle to each other until September. You want to take these opportunities, you want to make them happen, and you want to deserve them by working for and earning what you get. See, Saturn in the solar 6th can make a person's daily life something of a drag. But when Jupiter in good angle in the career house enters the picture, all that draggy energy suddenly pays off and you can understand why you were toiling and drudging away. It doesn't have to be at your current company that the opportunities for pay-off come, either. It can be someplace entirely new (and very well might be) because for Pisces at least, change is good right now. Now, I will admit that even though there is a lot of energy crowded into your career sector from Thanksgiving and beyond Christmas, I can't guarantee that you'll see a momentous payoff before the end of the year. I'm just saying that there is no reason to be satisfied with a less than momentous payoff by the time Jupiter finishes this transit at the end of 2007. Somehow, some way, you need to be willing to accept what you've earned and what you deserve, Pisces, and I just want to pump you up to do that. PLUTO AND JUPITER IN SAGITTARIUS Every year at this time, I start thinking about Pluto in Sagittarius. Sagittarius is an energetic, generally cheerful sign. Pluto is an energetic planet, but not nearly so cheerful or pleasant as Sag usually is. This year, we have an interesting astrological phenomenon, one that happens only about every 12 or 13 years, in which Jupiter is in the same sign as Pluto. Jupiter is generally considered to be a "good" planet, a benefic as the ancients termed it. Pluto, not so good, although it can be a helpful planet in the long run. To look at Pluto optimistically (and the sign of Sagittarius likes to look at everything optimistically) is to look at it as a planet that leads to transformation. What the combination of Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius theoretically means to you personally is that in the coming 13 months you can gain a lot of momentum in making visible and outward changes in the area of life where Sagittarius falls in your chart. It's like a last big push toward transformation in that area, a culmination of Pluto energy. Pluto has actually been in Sagittarius since 1995, so this is a culmination of a trend that began that long ago. If there's anything in your life that's been an underlying theme since then, or something you've wanted to accomplish but haven't, this is your year to make the big push. Pluto will enter Capricorn, a much different sign, in 2008, although it will retrograde back into Sagittarius for awhile during that year. Pluto won't have the extra push of Jupiter energy during 2008, though, so the next 13 months are really it in many ways as far as making use of Pluto energy to speed up transformation in a desired area of life. The energy essentially builds throughout 2007 until the end of the year when Jupiter will pass over Pluto. You can check to see which house Sagittarius represents in your natal or solar chart (based on either time of birth or sun sign) to see where you can expect building energy. You could perhaps solve long-standing problems or issues, or break through a final, persistent set of obstacles. It is even possible that you could experience a rebirth of sorts in the house affected, one that will propel you towards a new cycle. Jupiter's general associations with optimism, confidence, good feelings, and abundance can help you heal that area of life, or give you could courage to deal with the realities of transformation. All in all, for most people, this should be a good influence. It is possible, though, that if you've been very irresponsible or neglectful in that area of life, or if you've been headed down the wrong track, that the combination of Jupiter and Pluto could forcibly wrench you toward something more positive. Being forcibly wrenched is hardly ever pleasant, even if the changes are ultimately for the better. So it is probably wise, during this Jupiter transit of Sagittarius, to pay some attention to the house it's transiting in your chart, to nurture affairs in that area of life along, to do something with the energy before it does something to you! |

| HOW TO USE KEYWORDS: The essence of learning astrology is understanding how to mix, match, and blend the concepts associated with signs, planets, and houses to figure out what is or will be affecting you at a given point in time. This takes practice and practice is exactly what you're going to have a chance to get if you use the keywords each month. Keywords can be used to plan and take action using the month's energies, to explain events or to make predictions. Scan for keywords that seem relevant to situations in your own life. You'll have 3 sets of keywords you can blend, one for the planet discussed, one for the sign it's in and one for the solar house it's transiting. Pick the keywords that interest you most and create your customized horoscope! For example, if the Sun is in Aries in your solar first house, if you want to plan or take action you might pick the Sun keyword 'power', the Aries keyword 'initiating', and the 1st house keyword 'self-expression' to create an intention for yourself that you have the power to initiate actions to express yourself more fully in ways that you desire. You'll know what 'self-expression' means to you. It works best if you pick keywords that 'speak' to you or that coincide with elements of your life that already concern you. To receive astrological benefits, it's not necessary that you obligate yourself to do something huge - it's only necessary that you take one step in the right direction at the right time. Astrology concerns itself with when things are born, and if you start something at the right time, you're riding on the energy that's already available to you in the universe. You can also use the keywords to try to figure out if something that is affecting you is 'in the stars'. For example, let's say you find yourself wondering why you're getting drawn into conflicts with people at your church. You scan the keywords and realize 'Aha! The fiery energy of Aries is currently being activated in my 12th house of faith-related matters!' If the energy is uncomfortable, you'll have a gauge as to how long it will be prominent (oh good, it should ease up next month!) or if it's a good energy you'll know which planet to thank! You can also try your hand at predicting. If you check in at the beginning of the month and notice that your house of friendships is highlighted along with some active planetary or sign energies, you might predict for yourself that you will be engaging in a lot more fun and restorative activities with your friends in the coming month. This is basically what professional astrologers do and now you have a chance to try your own hand at it and compare your results with the pros. Have fun! NOTE: There are a wide variety of potential keywords associated with each sign, planet, and house. I pick different ones each month to give you an idea of the range from the most common concepts to much more subtle ones. Over time, you'll gain an intuitive sense of what kinds of concepts are associated with each element and you'll even be able to generate your own keywords as you get a feel for each of the signs, planets, and houses. Each keyword also inherently contains its opposite as well. For example, if the keyword 'divorce' is displayed, it doesn't mean you'll get a divorce. But it does mean that if that is a concern for you and something you want to avoid you have an opportunity, while that energy is activated, to take proactive steps to deal with potential problems or head off an undesirable outcome. So you can turn 'divorce' into 'keeping a marriage together' or 'illness' into 'taking steps to get and stay healthy'. |

| Use your rising sign for better forecasts! Most published horoscopes are based at least in part on transits to solar houses. Solar houses are based on your sun sign and are easy to calculate. Your sun sign is your solar 1st house, the next sign in the zodiac is your solar 2nd house and so on. You can always determine what solar house a planet is in if you know the sign. Simply start with your own sign and count around the zodiac until you reach the sign you're interested in. For example, if you're a Gemini, the sign of your solar 3rd house is Leo. Pisces is the sign of your solar 10th house. Astrologers who publish horoscopes use sun signs and solar houses for several reasons: a) almost everyone knows their birthday; b) they're easy to calculate; and c) they actually do have some effect. However, if you get a personal reading from a professional astrologer, he or she will almost always use transits to your natal houses to give you a reading instead. Natal houses are based on your rising sign, which is determined by the exact time, place, and day you were born. Transits to your natal planets and houses have at least as much effect on your life as transits to your solar houses, sometimes quite a bit more. If you really want to know your chart, and get better horoscopes, you should find out your rising sign (also called Ascendant). If you know the exact time and place of your birth, you can do this for free at a wonderful website - www.astro.com. Click on the link near the top that says 'Free Horoscopes'. On that page, scroll down to the link that says 'Chart Drawing, Ascendant'. Follow the prompts to enter the information concerning your birth time, date, and place. You'll get a chart that shows your Ascendant (the sign next to the designation 'AC'). To the left will be a box listing your planetary placements. Next to the listing for 'AC' your rising sign will be listed along with the degree of your Ascendant within that sign. Make a note of that sign and be sure to check the horoscope and keywords for your Ascendant as well as your sun sign! |

| TRACK YOUR RESULTS! Next month when you come back here for your next horoscope, take 30 seconds to assess the results of the action you took last month as a result of your horoscope. Did it make you feel better? Did it make your life any better? Did it give you renewed energy or did you find your effort blocked, delayed, or ineffective? Judging your results allows you to assess how responsive you are to a particular planetary, sign, or house energy. For example, some people are very responsive to the astrological Sun just the way some people are very responsive to a sunny day. Other people work better with the energy of other planets. Only by taking a moment to gauge your results can you learn which planets work best for you in your life. You may have an 'afflicted' natal Sun that never does much for you, but a raring-to-go Mars that will help you in a pinch every time. Checking your results each month will give you an increasingly accurate guide as to how to use astrology to enhance your life. |
